The selected candidate, under the supervision of the Head of the Pathology Service, will collaborate with other professionals in performing diagnostic and research activities in the following areas: thoracic surgical pathology, abdominal surgical pathology and adult uropathology, pediatric abdominal pathology, fine-needle aspiration cytology of deep organs and thyroid, end-stage organ pathology, and solid organ transplantation pathology (lungs, heart, liver, kidneys, pancreas).

The profile of the ideal candidate:

  • Degree in Medicine and Surgery or equivalent title (recognized in Italy).
  • Postgraduate diploma in Anatomy and Histopathology or equivalent title already obtained, or enrollment in the final year of the postgraduate course.
  • Enrollment in the professional board.
  • Scientific production rated with the H-index.
  • Excellent knowledge of English.
  • Flexibility and availability to be on-call during nights and holidays.

Other requisites: excellent analytical skills, motivated and self-starting, adaptive to change, and with flexibility, excellent time management and teamwork skills, and aptitude for multidisciplinary approach.

Workplace: Palermo.
