A Maltese delegation of physicians and officials visited ISMETT-UPMC with the aim of exploring the Institute’s best practices in transplant medicine and high-complexity care. The visit is part of a long-standing collaboration spanning more than 14 years, yielding outstanding results, and contributing to the consolidation of a virtuous model of health care integration in the Mediterranean region.

ISMETT-UPMC confirmed as Italian Government Approved Research Hospital (“IRCCS”) in Transplantation Area. The decree, issued by the Italian Ministry of Health, in agreement with the Region of Sicily, formally acknowledges the Institute’s excellence in patient care, management, and research.
