Formerly serving as Head of the Shoulder and Elbow Surgery Unit at the same hospital, he specializes primarily in minimally invasive anterior technique and vertebral surgery. His focus extends to arthroscopic and prosthetic surgery, as well as complex traumas involving the shoulder, elbow, hip, and knee.
After the degree in Medicine and Surgery from Sapienza University of Rome and specialization in Orthopedics and Traumatology at Catholic University of the Sacro Cuore/Gemelli Hospital in Rome, he pursued further training at the Boston Children's Hospital/Harvard Medical, Massachusetts General Hospital, and Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, USA. He also worked in France at the Clinique Chirurgicale Orthopedique et Traumatologique de l'Université de Lyon - Hopital Lyon Sud.
Currently, aside a teaching position at the Specialization School of Orthopedic Traumatology at the Tor Vergata PTV University in Rome, he actively participates as a speaker at prominent national and international conferences. He is a member of significant professional associations such as the European Society for Shoulder and Elbow Surgery (SECEC/ESSE), the Italian Society of Arthroscopy (SIA), and the Italian Society of Vertebral Pathology (GIS).
With over 2500 complex trauma interventions and prosthetic surgeries to his credit, he has contributed more than 60 publications to scientific journals, focusing particularly on vertebral, shoulder, elbow, and knee pathologies, as well as skeletal neoplastic conditions and pediatric traumatology and orthopedics. He has also authored two chapters on Vertebral Pathology topics.
