Dr. Giorgio Balsamo is an Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) surgeon specialized in otologic microsurgery and disorders of the outer, middle, and inner ear.

He graduated cum laude in Medicine and Surgery and specialized in Otorhinolaryngology and Cervicofacial Surgery at La Sapienza University of Rome, where he later completed a PhD in Neuroscience and Maxillofacial Surgery.

He completed a 2nd-level master’s degree in Auditory Prosthesis Implantation and Advanced Pediatric Allergology and Immunology at Tor Vergata University of Rome, and specialization course in Endoscopic Surgery of the Paranasal Sinuses and Anterior Skull Base at Insubria University of Varese.

Currently, Dr. Balsamo is Director of the Cochlear Implant Center of ASL Roma 2 and of the Otorhinolaryngology Unit at S. Eugenio Hospital, where he has gained extensive experience in endoscopic, esthetic, and functional surgery, and implantation of advanced prostheses such as Envoy, Baha, Ponto, and Osia.
