Prof. Fabio Massimo Corsi

Professor Fabio Massimo Corsi is a medical doctor and surgeon specializing in Neurology, with many years of experience in Neuro-Ophthalmology.

He graduated in Medicine and Surgery at Sapienza University in Rome and obtained his specialization in Neurology at the same institution. He completed his training with an internship at the Department of Clinical Neuro-Ophthalmology at Albany Medical Center in New York. In addition, he earned a Master’s degree in Process Management in Healthcare Organizations, resulting from the collaboration between San Camillo-Forlanini Hospital and SDA Bocconi School of Management.

His clinical practice focuses primarily on cerebrovascular diseases, Parkinson’s disease, emergency neurology, and neuro-ophthalmology. Until 2019, he served as Director of the Neurology and Neurophysiopathology Unit at San Camillo-Forlanini Hospital in Rome.

A frequent speaker at national and international congresses and symposia, he is the author of 38 scientific publications and of the chapter “Diseases of the Nervous System” in “Internal Medicine” (McGraw Hill), a text widely adopted in Nursing Science degree programs at various Italian universities. He also authored Chapter 1 of the manual “UNOF – Neuro-Ophthalmic Emergencies”, edited by the SIN Study Group on “Neuro-Ophthalmology and Neurotology” (Orange Brain Healthcare Matters).

Since 2019, he has been actively involved in volunteer initiatives aimed at training healthcare professionals in the management of epilepsy at DREAM centers operated by the Community of Sant’Egidio in several sub-Saharan African countries, particularly Malawi and Mozambique. He also serves as a member of the Italian Society of Neurology (SIN) Study Group “SIN and Developing Countries of Sub-Saharan Africa.” In the same field, he provides neurological teleconsults on the GHT telemedicine platform, supporting clinical centers across the region.
