Dr. Gianluca Falcone is an orthopedic surgeon with extensive experience in the surgical treatment of conditions affecting the distal extremities, particularly the foot and ankle, as well as the hand and wrist.

An expert in both arthroscopic and open surgical techniques, he specializes in percutaneous forefoot surgery, with a specific focus on hallux valgus correction. His clinical practice also includes the study of foot biomechanics and the design of customized orthotic insoles.

After graduating with honors in Medicine and Surgery from the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Rome, he completed his residency in Orthopedics and Traumatology with top marks.

He enhanced his training through prestigious international experiences, including at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York (Department of Musculoskeletal Oncology) and the Marietta Podiatry Institute in Georgia (Foot Surgery Center).

Since 2024, he has held a permanent position as First-Level Medical Director with a high-specialization contract and currently serves as Head of the Integrated Foot and Ankle Center (CIPEC) at the Fondazione Policlinico Universitario Agostino Gemelli IRCCS – Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Rome.

Since 2023, he has also worked as a Medical Director in the Sports Traumatology and Joint Surgery Unit.

He is the author of numerous scientific publications in both national and international orthopedic journals.
