Professor Ezio Fanucci is a medical doctor and surgeon specialized in Radiology, and since 2024 he has been Director of the Radiology Department at UPMC Salvator Mundi International Hospital in Rome.
An expert in Diagnostic Imaging and Interventional Radiology, he has extensive clinical and academic experience gained in both public and private institutions. His professional activity focuses on Magnetic Resonance Imaging of gastrointestinal and musculoskeletal disorders, including muscular dystrophic syndromes and predictive assessment of vertebral collapse. He is also engaged in the diagnosis and treatment of peripheral neuropathies, with specific expertise in ultrasound-guided percutaneous alcoholization techniques.
He graduated in Medicine and Surgery from Sapienza University of Rome, where he also completed his specialization in Radiodiagnostics with honors. Throughout his career, he has held numerous academic and clinical positions at Tor Vergata University and the Tor Vergata University Hospital Foundation, with responsibilities in Diagnostic Imaging, Interventional Radiology, and emergency medicine. He has devoted particular attention to Dental Radiology and Emergency Radiology.
He served as Associate Professor of Radiology and taught in several postgraduate schools, including Orthopedics, Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine, Forensic Medicine, and Special Dental Surgery. In addition, he lectured in Diagnostic Imaging and Radiotherapy within the Degree Program in Dentistry and Dental Prosthetics.
Professor Fanucci has directed the Radiology Unit (UOC) of San Pietro Fatebenefratelli Hospital and collaborated with numerous private clinics in Rome, consolidating his reputation as a leading figure in diagnostic and interventional radiology.
He is a member of the European Society of Radiology (ESR) and the Italian Society of Medical Radiology (SIRM).
