Prof. PierCarlo Gentile

Prof. PierCarlo Gentile is a specialist physician in Radiation Oncology with over 25 years of clinical, managerial, and academic experience. He was born in Crotone on June 28, 1965, and obtained his medical degree and specialization at the Catholic University of Rome.

His career developed at San Pietro Fatebenefratelli Hospital in Rome, where since 1999 he has held roles of increasing responsibility, culminating in his appointment as Head of the Complex Operative Unit of Radiation Oncology (2011). Since 2013, he has combined clinical, technological, and organizational expertise as Medical Director of the advanced radiotherapy center UPMC Hillman Cancer Center San Pietro FBF in Rome.

In 2018, he assumed the role of Scientific Director of the high‑technology radiotherapy center at Marrelli Hospital, and subsequently of the UPMC Hillman Cancer Center Villa Maria in Mirabella Eclano (AV), the sister center of the Rome facility.
