        Dr. Miraglia has been a radiologist at ISMETT since 2001. Since 2019, he has been Director of the Radiology Service.

        His research interests include treatment of portal hypertension with TIPS placement, dosage reduction in interventional radiology procedures, minimally-invasive treatment of liver cancer, and minimally-invasive diagnosis and treatment of post-organ transplant complications in pediatric and adult patients. He is a member and fellow of the Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology Society of Europe (CIRSE) and a member of the Italian European Society of Interventional Radiology (IESIR).

        Dr. Miraglia’s clinical activity includes abdominal and thoracic interventional radiology in pediatric and adult patients, ultrasonography, and CT and MRI focused on liver diseases and organ transplantation.

        He graduated magna cum laude in medicine and surgery from the University of Palermo (1990-1996), and specialized in radiology with cum laude honors at the University of Palermo (1996-2000), completing an interventional radiology clinical fellowship at ISMETT (2001-2002). Since July 2014, he has been a Visiting Adjunct Associate Professor of Radiology at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine.
