Gabriele Panegrossi is a surgeon with extensive experience in complex orthopaedics and traumatology. Since 2019, he has headed the Orthopaedics and Traumatology Unit at Santo Spirito in Sassia Hospital in Rome, a facility where he was previously head of the Trauma Unit.

Dr. Panegrossi is recognized for his expertise in hip and knee surgery, including treatment of primary and secondary osteoarthritis with infiltration (hyaluronic acid, PRP and stem cells), arthroscopic surgery, and primary and revision prosthetic surgery.

He has performed more than 2,500 osteosynthesis surgeries for complex fractures of the lower and upper extremities.

After graduating with a degree in Medicine and a specialization in Orthopaedics and Traumatology obtained with honors at La Sapienza University in Rome, he continued his training by participating in numerous specialized training courses in Italy and abroad working with prestigious institutions, including the Missouri Bone & Joint Center in the United States and the Service de Chirurgie Orthopedique in Marseille, France.

Dr. Panegrossi is author of numerous publications in international orthopaedic journals and has held prominent positions in various scientific societies, including vice-presidency of the ALOTO Society. He has organized and chaired major congresses and CME courses in the field of orthopaedics and traumatology.
