Dr. Massimo Uguccioni

Dr. Massimo Uguccioni is a medical doctor specialized in cardiology and internal medicine, with an extensive career dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of heart diseases.

After his medical degree at University La Sapienza in Rome, he completed his specialization in Internal Medicine and later in Cardiology at the University of Federico II in Naples.

With over thirty years of hospital experience, Dr. Uguccioni has held key leadership roles, including serving as the Director of Cardiology at the CTO A. Alesini Hospital in Rome from 1994 to 2013. He was then Director of Cardiology at the S. Camillo-Forlanini Hospital in Rome until 2021.

His scientific contributions are equally notable. Dr. Uguccioni has played a key role in numerous national and international studies, including the Cardiovascular Epidemiological Observatory, MAVI, HEART Survey, Cardio-Sis, GISSI-AF, and IN-ACS Outcome projects, in collaboration with the Italian National Institute of Health and ANMCO. He is a member of several steering committees for observational clinical studies and serves as a referee for renowned journals, including the Journal of Cardiovascular Medicine and Monaldi Archives of Chest Disease, with focus on epidemiology, cardiovascular prevention, and clinical cardiology. Dr. Uguccioni has authored over one hundred scientific publications in both national and international journals.
