        Prof. Vitulo has been working in ISMETT since 2005. Prior to that, he was at the IRCCS Policlinico San Matteo. Since the beginning of his career at ISMETT, he has contributed to the development of the pulmonary transplant program. He is Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh and Head of the Pneumology Unit at ISMETT. He graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Pavia where he later specialized in pneumology. Since 1992, when he began his career, his primary focus has been pulmonary transplant at the IRCCS San Matteo (Pavia) where he soon became head of the pulmonary transplant unit. He has significant experience in the management of complications derived from broncho-pulmonary transplantation, pulmonary fibrosis, pulmonary hypertension, and cystic fibrosis. He is a member of numerous international medical associations, including ISHLT, ERS, PVRI and many national commissions. He has carried out several studies and research projects in the field of pulmonary fibrosis, pulmonary hypertension and lung transplantation. He obtained more than 60 publications in scientific journals (HI 20). He kept conferences in various national and international congresses.
