Uro-oncologia: Live Webinar ECM

Monday 26 April 2021 – 13:30 live webinar "Uro-oncology of the genitourinary apparatus" update from the ESOU 2021 congress", organized by Ep Congressi and realized in collaboration with IPSEN. Specialists from UPMC Hillman Cancer Centers in Italy will also participate in the event: Prof. Gentile and Dr. Allegretta.

The event, free and valid for the release of 6 CME credits, was born from the idea of creating an opportunity to share the clinical innovations in the field of uro-oncology, emerged in international congresses, with the aim of spreading them in a widespread way in Italy, through the authoritative voice of specialists in the sector.

Several topics will be covered during the webinar: the importance of multidisciplinarity in the treatment of uro-oncological diseases, updates on the treatment of kidney, bladder and prostate neoplasms, attention to the patient in the Covid era and much more.

Prof. PierCarlo Gentile, Medical Director of UPMC Hillman Cancer Center San Pietro FBF (Rome) and Head of Radiotherapy at San Pietro Fatebenefratelli Hospital (Rome), is one of the scientific directors of the event and will moderate the round table, together with the President of the course, Prof. Vincenzo Mirone, and the other scientific directors, Prof. Roberto Iacovelli and Prof. Giuseppe Ludovico.

Associate Professor at the University of Pittsburgh, Prof. Gentile is a member of a multidisciplinary team responsible for developing criteria and guidelines for the organization of a network of specialists on oncological diseases in the Lazio Region, of the Italian Association of Radiation Oncology (A.I.R.O) and of the European Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology, author and co-author of publications, scientific articles and research studies. Among the authors of a multicenter and retrospective study on the effectiveness of radiotherapy in the treatment of prostate cancer recurrence, published in 2020 in the British Journal of Urology which involved several specialists, including Dr. Allegretta.

Dr. Allegretta, Medical Director of UPMC Hillman Cancer Center Villa Maria (Mirabella Eclano, AV) and a specialist in radiation oncology with an improved international background at UPMC Shadyside Hospital in Pittsburgh, US, will speak in the webinar during the session dedicated to International Guidelines in the Treatment of Uro-Oncology Diseases.
