UPMC Salvator Mundi International Hospital has an internal clinical and microbiology laboratory. All the main laboratory tests are available for both adult and pediatric patients.
In particular, the following tests are available without prior booking:
- Allergology: Allergen-specific IgE, Alex Test
- Molecular biology
- Clinical chemistry and Immunometry
- Coagulation
- Hematology
- Histology, Cytology, Microbiology and Virology
- OAT Service to support patients on anticoagulants:
- Venous blood sampling for INR (International Normalized Ratio) testing.
- Personalized therapeutic indications for drug dosing.
- Microbiota test
- Toxicology

- Glycemic and insulinemic curve test, aldosterone and renin
- Breath test: Lactose, Helicobacter pylori
- Prenatal Safe
For patients requesting a genetic test at our laboratory, we offer a free remote consult, before and after the test, with a genetic specialist.

Please note that some insurance companies require medical prescriptions to be sent specifying the diagnosis within 48 hours of taking the blood sample. This documentation must be sent to smih_laboratorio@upmc.it.
