UPMC Hillman Cancer Center San Pietro FBF Joint Ownership Agreement

The UPMC Hillman Cancer Center San Pietro FBF ("Center") is a highly specialized radiation therapy center, offering innovative treatments and advanced treatment protocols, such as stereotactic radiosurgery and image-guided radiation therapy (IGRT/IMRT), to patients with cancer pathology. Operational decisions regarding the processing of personal data of patients treated at the Center are made jointly by UPMC Italy S.r.l. and the Religious Province of the Hospital Order of St. John of God - Fatebenefratelli (hereafter, "UPMC" and "St. Peter's" respectively). Therefore, there is a so-called joint ownership of the processing pursuant to Article 26 of EU Regulation 2016/679. As required by the aforementioned Regulation, UPMC and St. Peter's have entered into an agreement to regulate their respective tasks and responsibilities. In particular, UPMC has been assigned the role of adopting the tools, processes, policies, and organizational and technical measures functional to compliance with the data protection regulations. St. Peter's handles the billing process for services rendered.

The parties have identified the Center's Data Protection Officer (DPO) as the point of contact for the exercise of the rights recognized by the Regulations to data subjects, who can be contacted by writing to the following email address DPO@upmcsanpietro.it or at the Center.
