UPMC ISMETT Celebrates 3,000 Transplants

In 2023, UPMC ISMETT reached the milestone of completing 3,000 life-saving organ transplants. Opened in 1999, the transplant program at UPMC ISMETT has evolved to become a sought-after destination to treat adults and children from all around Europe and surrounding countries. UPMC ISMETT has also been recognized by the National Transplant Center in Italy as having the best survival rates in the country.
