Prof. Leonardo De Luca

Professor De Luca is a cardiologist who specializes in interventional and hemodynamic cardiology. He is Medical Director I level at the Cardioscience Department UOC Cardiology, San Camillo-Forlanini Hospital, Rome. He teaches at the Unicamillus, Saint Camillus International University of Health Sciences, Rome and has gained professional training abroad at the Cardiology departments of: University Medical Center, Utrecht (Holland); Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Chicago (USA) and Hospital San Francisco Xavier, Lisbon, Portugal (August-September 2000). To date, he has performed about 6500 coronary, peripheral or structural interventional procedures as the lead physician. Over the years he has developed skills in all areas of interventional cardiology, as evidenced by his scientific activity (coronary artery, right cateterisms, complex PCIs, peripheral PTAs and carotids, mitral and aortic valvulopathics, Tavi, aortic endoprotesis, Rotablator, FFR, Ivus , OCT, PFO/DIA closing, structural interventional of the adult and pediatric). He has authored numerous publications.
