Dr. Roberto Baldelli

Dr. Roberto Baldelli is a physician and surgeon specializing in Endocrinology and Metabolic Diseases.

He focuses particularly on the diagnosis and treatment of endocrine neoplasms and manages oncology patients undergoing therapy with novel drugs that may induce endocrine toxicity.

He has developed strong technical and diagnostic expertise, including: thyroid ultrasonography (B-mode, color Doppler, and elastography), ultrasound-guided fine-needle aspiration of the thyroid, rhTSH stimulation tests for thyroid cancer follow-up, phalangeal ultrasonography, bioimpedance analysis, and bone ultrasonography.

After earning his degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Rome La Sapienza, he graduated with honors in Endocrinology and Metabolic Diseases from the same institution. He also obtained a PhD in Endocrinological Sciences from La Sapienza and a European PhD in Endocrinology from the University of Santiago de Compostela in Spain.

Since 2001, Dr. Baldelli has served as a Senior Medical Officer at the Endocrinology Unit (UOSD) of the San Camillo-Forlanini Hospital in Rome.

Dr. Baldelli has extensive experience in clinical research, with both national and international collaborations. His most notable projects include studies on MGMT methylation in pituitary and neuroendocrine tumors, as well as research on neuroendocrine-type breast carcinoma.

He is the author of numerous scientific publications.
