Dr. Fulvio Benassi

Dr. Benassi is a specialist in diseases of the respiratory system, cardiology and diseases cardio-vascular and specialist in anesthesiology and resuscitation. He is Director of Operational Unit Respiratory insufficiency and rehabilitation in the Department of Pulmonary Diseases of the San Camillo-Forlanini Hospital of Rome and national coordinator of the study group AIPO respiratory disorders. He also is the lead on the diagnosis and treatment of respiratory disorders in the sleep center of San Camillo-Forlanini. He is professor of the School of Specialization I in Diseases of the Respiratory Schia University Sapienza, Rome and also teaches a nursing course at the same University. He presented communications, reports and posters to national and international conferences and is the author of about 50 scientific publications and book chapters including the respiratory pathology in sleep (Treaty of Pneumology Verduci Editore), night diagnostic methods of related sleep respiratory disorders in the new horizons editorial project, and co-author of the Update: "Recommendations for the diagnosis and treatment of respiratory disorders in sleep" (AIPO).
