Dr. Giuseppe Brunetti is a medical surgeon specialising in pneumology. After graduating in Medicine and Surgery, he specialised in Physiology and Diseases of the Respiratory System at La Sapienza University in Rome.

From 2008 to 2024, he directed the Respiratory Sub-intensive Care Unit (STIRS) at the S. Camillo-Forlanini Hospital in Rome, where he treated intensive and sub-intensive care patients.

Dr. Brunetti is particularly dedicated to the care of patients suffering from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and acute respiratory failure, which are severe and highly complex and require continuous monitoring of vital parameters and non-invasive mechanical ventilation. It currently carries out diagnostic and clinical activities, performing simple spirometry, cardiorespiratory monitoring during sleep, monitoring the long-term effectiveness of oxygen therapy, and applying and monitoring non-invasive mechanical ventilation (NIV).

He also treats patients from resuscitation centers with difficult weaning (prolonged weaning from the ventilator) and temporary tracheostomy, such as those with ALS.

He is a member of the Respiratory Intensive Care study group of the Italian Association of Hospital Pneumologists (A.I.P.O) and of the 'Lung and Heart-Lung Transplantation' study group. He is author of numerous scientific publications and speaker at various conferences on emergency medicine and pneumology. He contributed to the drafting of the evaluation protocol for lung transplantation candidate patients.
