Dr. Cantore has extensive experience in the diagnosis and treatment of deafness, including surgery, such as otosclerosis surgery, cochlear implants (bionic ear), and implantable hearing aids. He is also an expert in the treatment of nasal-sinus respiratory disorders and throat diseases. He has performed almost 3,000 surgeries, of which more than 1,300 as a first operator.

After graduating in Medicine and Surgery from the Second University of Naples, he specialised in Otolaryngology at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Rome, where he also obtained a PhD in Neurophysiology of the Cervico-Facial District. He furthered his training by obtaining a 2nd level Master's Degree in Prosthetic Implantology of Deafness at La Sapienza University of Rome, to which he gained experience abroad, such as four cochlear electrostimulation masterclasses in Belgium, and at the oto-surgical centres of the Universities of Miami and New York.

He currently holds the position of Medical Director with a high-professional status in Otorhinolaryngology at the UOC of Otorhinolaryngology of the San Filippo Neri Hospital, ASL Roma 1.

His expertise has received numerous awards for scientific merit. A member of several scientific societies in Italy and abroad, including the Mediterranean Society of Otology and Audiology, he is responsible for communications at the European Academy of Otology and Neuro-Otology and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS).
