Dr. Giuseppe Cerasari

Specialized in Infectious Diseases and Pathobiology and Respiratory Diseases, Dr. Giuseppe Cerasari has extensive experience in hepatology. For 35 years, he has held prominent roles in various hospitals, including staff physician and head of the Hepatology Day Hospital Unit, Department of Hepatology, S. Camillo-Forlanini Hospital in Rome. He later took on a high-level role at the Liver and Pancreatic Transplant Study and Management Center.

He also gained significant experience at the Hepatology Division of Spallanzani Hospital where he coordinated the assessment and preparation of hepatology patients waiting for a transplant, also contributing to the implementation of new HCV antiviral therapies.

Currently, Dr. Cerasari is hepatology consultant at IRCCS Regina Elena Institute of Oncology and honorary infectious disease consultant at Celio Military Hospital in Rome.

Dr. Cerasari is an active member of several prestigious scientific societies including the Italian Society of Infectious Diseases and Tropical Medicine (SIMET), the Italian Association for the Study of the Liver (AISF), the Italian Association for the Prevention of Viral Hepatitis "Beatrice Vitiello" (COPEV), and the European Association for the Study of the Liver (EASL).
