For 35 years, he has held prominent roles in various hospitals, including staff physician and head of the Hepatology Day Hospital Unit, Department of Hepatology, S. Camillo-Forlanini Hospital in Rome. He later took on a high-level role at the Liver and Pancreatic Transplant Study and Management Center.
He also gained significant experience at the Hepatology Division of Spallanzani Hospital where he coordinated the assessment and preparation of hepatology patients waiting for a transplant, also contributing to the implementation of new HCV antiviral therapies.
