Dr. Andrea Cortellesi is an experienced interventional cardiologist specialising in emergency management and specialist diagnostics. He is particularly dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of ischemic heart disease, using advanced technologies such as IFR, FFR, IVUS, OCT, ROTABLATOR.

After graduating in Medicine and Surgery and specialising in Diseases of the Cardiovascular System, both with honours at the University La Sapienza of Rome, he completed a diploma in Vascular Doppler at the Gemelli Hospital - Columbus Integrated Complex.

His career also took him to Nepal, where he worked as an emergency physician at the Chitwan Medical College teaching hospital in Bharatpur. Back in Italy, he served as an emergency physician on the 118 and completed a fellowship in Interventional Cardiology at the S. Camillo Hospital in Rome.

From 2020 to 2023, Dr. Cortellesi served as a senior cardiologist at the haemodynamics service of the San Giovanni Evangelista Hospital in Tivoli, performing around 150 angioplasties per year. He is also a certified ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) operator of the American Heart Association.

Currently, Dr. Cortellesi is a senior cardiologist at the U.O.C. Cardiology Unit of the Santo Spirito in Sassia Hospital in Rome, where he works on interventional cardiology in the haemodynamic room. He is a member and author of numerous scientific publications, as well as a speaker at national and international congresses.
