Dr. Silvia De Maria

Dr. Silvia De Maria is a physician and surgeon, specialized in Endocrinology. Her clinical practice is primarily focused on diabetology, metabolic physiology and clinical metabolism, with particular expertise in obesity, disorders of glucose metabolism, and thyroid diseases.

She graduated with honors in Medicine and Surgery from La Sapienza University of Rome, where she also completed postgraduate training in Endocrinology and in General Pathology.

From 1987 to 2018, she served as Senior Medical Officer in the Department of Internal Medicine at San Camillo-Forlanini Hospital in Rome, holding a position of Advanced Specialization in Diabetology. Within the same institution, she also provided outpatient endocrinology services, with a special focus on thyroid disorders and diabetes management.

She is co-author of 15 scientific publications and an active member of the Italian Association of Endocrinologists (AME) and the Italian Association of Diabetologists (AMD).
