Professor Giuseppe Maria Ettorre is a medical surgeon specialising in General Surgery. His surgical expertise ranges from general and abdominal surgery to transplant surgery, especially liver transplantation. Prof. Ettorre has extensive experience in oesophago-gastric, pancreatic, biliary, colorectal and gallbladder surgery, laparoscopic and robotic surgery. He is involved in advanced oncological surgery.

In his training and professional career, he has had the opportunity to deal with the greatest experts in the field, both in Italy and abroad, in particular in the prestigious French school of Prof. Jacques Belghiti.

He has more than 700 liver transplants and over 1000 liver resections with minimally invasive technique to his credit.

He is Director of the Transplantation Department of the San Camillo-Forlanini - lNMl Lazzaro Spallanzani Hospital in Rome.

Prof. Ettorre holds several prestigious positions, including Secretary of the Lancisian Academy of Rome, Probiviro of the Italian Association of Hepato-Pancreatic Surgery (AICEP), Councillor of the Italian Society for Organ Transplantation (SITO), and Councillor and Member of the Italian Chapter of the IHPBA - International Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Associaton.

He is author of over 260 publications in national and international journals.

He is a lecturer at the SIC School of Hepatic Surgery, the ACOI National School of Hepatic Surgery, the Italian School of Minimally Invasive Liver Surgery I Go Mils and at the Schools of Specialisation in General Surgery of the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry and the Faculty of Medicine and Psychology of the La Sapienza University of Rome.
