specialist-professional-biography-headingCiro Ferrer is a vascular and endovascular surgeon specialized in traditional and minimally invasive procedures for treating aneurysms and aortic dissections (thoracic, thoracoabdominal, and abdominal), stenosis and obstruction of carotid arteries and arteries of the upper and lower limbs, as well as peripheral and visceral aneurysms, and varicose veins in the lower limbs.
After his degree cum laude in Vascular Surgery at Vita-Salute San Raffaele University in Milan, a Ph.D. in Advanced Technologies in Surgery at La Sapienza University in Rome, and national scientific qualification for associate professor, Dr. Ferrer is currently a staff physician at the Unit of Vascular Surgery at San Giovanni-Addolorata Hospital in Rome.
He has devoted much of his extensive surgical and research work to the development and dissemination of innovative and minimally invasive techniques for the treatment of complex aortic aneurysms (thoracoabdominal, pararenal, juxtarenal, aorto-iliac, and aortic arch aneurysms) and peripheral arterial disease. Dr. Ferrer is a regular speaker at the most prominent international congresses in the field of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery, and author of numerous publications in the most important scientific journals. He is also a member of the leading national and international scientific societies.
