Dr. Roberto Finizio is a medical doctor and surgeon specializing in Digestive Surgery and Surgical Digestive Endoscopy. He obtained his qualifications from Sapienza University of Rome.
He completed his specialist training at the Digestive Endoscopy Unit of the Third Surgical Clinic of Umberto I University Hospital in Rome, and he subsequently worked at the San Carlo di Nancy Hospital and at the Israelitico Hospital.
He is currently the Head of the Complex Operative Unit of Gastroenterology and Digestive Endoscopy at the Israelitico Hospital in Rome.
His thirty years of clinical practice have been marked by the integration of extensive clinical expertise with innovative approaches aimed at the prevention and endoscopic treatment of gastrointestinal diseases. His focus is on endoscopic diagnostics by esophagogastroduodenoscopies and colonoscopies, and operational endoscopy.
Dr. Finizio has presented at numerous national and international conferences and is the author of over forty publications on digestive surgery and digestive endoscopy.
He is a member of the Italian Society of Digestive Endoscopy (SIED) and the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE).
