Dr. Mario Giarletta

Dr. Mario Giarletta is a medical doctor and surgeon specializing in Neurosurgery, with extensive experience in neuro-oncology, vascular and spinal neurosurgery, as well as cerebral and skull base neuroendoscopy.

He earned his Medical Degree from the University of Salerno and his specialization in Neurosurgery from the University of Verona. He completed his training with specialization courses and a second-level Master’s degree in highly specialized disciplines, including the Joint European Diploma in Endoscopic Skull Base Surgery at Université de Paris Denis Diderot, acquiring distinctive expertise in endoscopic skull base neurosurgery.

Throughout his training, he gained experience at national and international centers of excellence, refining advanced endoscopic surgical techniques at Ospedale dell’Angelo in Mestre, Verona University Hospital, and renowned referral centers in France and Switzerland. This multidisciplinary experience strengthened his expertise in the endoscopic treatment of complex skull base diseases.

His clinical practice is primarily focused on the treatment of pituitary disorders, skull base and posterior cranial fossa lesions, and spinal pathologies using minimally invasive and endoscopic techniques. He combines technical precision with extensive expertise in the management of complex neurovascular and oncological conditions.

Dr. Giarletta currently serves as Staff Physician at the Complex Operative Unit of Neurosurgery of Sant’Andrea University Hospital in Rome, where he holds a specialist appointment in endoscopic pituitary and skull base surgery.
