Dr. La Cava is a specialist in orthopedics and traumatology. He has a Master's in: orthopedic surgery, arthroscopic and prosthetic surgery, hip mininvasive surgery;  and the AO trauma course Foot & Ankle. He deepened his training and professional experience abroad at the Campbell Clinic Orthopaedics - University of Tennessee in Memphis (1995) and at the Smith and Nephew Orthopaedic Implant Division in Memphis, Tennessee for experimental studies (1995). He is medical manager I level at the Orthopedics and Traumatology department of the S. Spirito in Sassia hospital of Rome asl Roma1. He is responsible for the treatment relating to patients with arthropathies and coagulopathies in the context of the UOC Orthopedics and Traumatology of the S. Spirito Hospital. Between 1998 and 2016, he performed 1,510 surgeries, mainly concerning trauma and arthroscopic knee surgery. From 1992 to 2016, as a second operator, he performed 4000 surgeries, concerning mainly primary prosthetic surgery and hip review, traumatology, prosthetic knee surgery, arthroscopic surgery and foot procedures. He is the author of 21 national and international scientific publications. He was a speaker at 39 national and international conferences and scientific secretary of 10 important national and international congresses.
