specialist-professional-biography-headingDr. Giuseppe La Rocca is a Neurosurgeon with extensive experience in the treatment of spinal and vertebral disorders, including cervical and lumbar disc herniations, spinal stenosis, spondylolisthesis, vertebral fractures, and degenerative spine diseases. He employs minimally invasive techniques, neuronavigation, and intraoperative neuromonitoring.
He also specializes in the management of brain and spinal tumors, cavernomas, hydrocephalus, trigeminal neuralgia, chronic pain, and peripheral nerve disorders.
Dr. La Rocca graduated with honors in Medicine and Surgery and completed his residency in Neurosurgery, also with honors, at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Rome. He further enriched his training with international experience at Weill Cornell University in New York and the UNH Toronto General Hospital. In Italy, he trained at centers of excellence such as the Neurosurgery Unit at Spedali Civili di Brescia and completed a Master’s degree in complex spinal surgery at the A. Gemelli University Hospital.
Since 2017, he has served as a Consultant Neurosurgeon at the Fondazione Policlinico Universitario A. Gemelli in Rome and, since 2021, as Director of the Neurosurgical Training Center and Brain Research at Mater Olbia Hospital.
He is a lecturer in Neurosurgery at the Residency School in Neurosurgery of the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore and an active member of major national and international scientific societies, including the Italian Society of Neurosurgery and the European Association of Neurosurgical Societies.
