Dr. Luigi Macchitella

Dr. Macchitella is a surgeon and Chief Medical Officer of UPMC Salvator Mundi International Hospital. He was a former medical director of various health facilities in Rome, Lazio, and Umbria. In 1988 he served as Chief Physician in the discipline of Basic Health Organization and Hygiene and Organization of Hospital Services. For three years he was Secretary of the Lazio Section of the Italian Society for Verification and Revision of the Quality of Health Care, publishing research, such as those concerning the verification of the quality of care of an emergency department and the computerization of healthcare. Since 1994 he has worked at ISELS in the organization and management of public health.
