Prof. Pier Paolo Maria Menchetti

Board-certified Orthopedic Surgeon with extensive international experience. Throughout his career, he has been actively involved in clinical research and has been at the forefront of adopting cutting-edge surgical technologies in the field of spinal surgery. His expertise encompasses minimally invasive and mini-open spinal surgery for the treatment of degenerative spinal conditions, as well as conventional surgery for degenerative disc diseases, percutaneous surgery for disc herniation, cervical percutaneous procedures, and vertebral fracture treatments.

Prof. Menchetti is renowned for his proficiency in pain management and guided spinal surgery techniques. He is the Chairman of the Expert Panels spinal devices in orthopedics, traumatology, rehabilitation, and rheumatology at the European Commission - European Medicines Agency (EMA). Furthermore, Prof. Menchetti is Aggregate Professor at Orthopaedic Dept., University of Palermo; Expert and Advisor for Technical Scientific Projects in Medical Area at University of Palermo.

He is the author of numerous scientific publications and serves as an editor at Springer International, where he has published four volumes in the English language focusing on spinal surgery.
