Dr. Mureddu is a specialist in diseases of the cardiovascular system. His clinical experience ranges from cardiovascular epidemiology and primary prevention, to the stratification of cardiovascular risk, with high skills in imaging methods, in particular echocardiography. He has gained particular skills in chronic ischemic heart disease, in heart failure and valvulopathies and in the management of innovative drugs in the context of family and non -family hypercholesterolemia, atrial fibrillation and heart failure. In the context of clinical research, he is interested in the pathophysiology of arterial hypertension, the left ventricular hypertrophy and the hemodynamic models related to it deepened. He worked on geometric models and cardiac mechanics in dilated cardiomyopathy through echocardiography and studied the hemodynamic and emoreological aspects in different load models such as obesity and anorexia nervosa. He is an expert in epidemiological transition models from arterial hypertension to heart failure and in the instrumental recognition of the intermediate intermediates of the heterosclerosis and heart failure. He is Medical manager I level, UOC Cardiology I - Department of Cardiovascular Diseases Hospital S. Giovanni Addolorata in Rome and Vice-president of the Italian Group of Rehabilitation and Preventive Cardiology-Italian Association of Cardiovascular Prevention and Rehabilitation (Gicr-Iacpr). He is the author of numerous publications. He participated, as the auditor, in the drafting of the last guidelines of the European Society of Cardiology on the management of dyslipidemias.
