Dr. Giacinta Nevi is a Biologist specializing in Food and Nutrition Science.
She earned her Degree in Human Nutrition Sciences and completed her specialization in Food and Nutrition Science at the University of Rome Tor Vergata. As part of her training, she undertook an internship at Tor Vergata University Hospital’s Clinical nutrition service for eating disorders (anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, and binge eating disorder). Her experimental research thesis focused on dysbiosis and inflammation in adolescent anorexia nervosa. She completed her education obtaining a qualification equivalent to a second-level Master’s degree in Integrated Oncology Nutrition from the Salernitana School of Nutrition. In addition, she earned a Degree in Pharmacy with a specialization in Dietetics and Nutrition from the University of Perugia, with an experimental thesis on Immunology.
Between 2017 and 2022, she completed several clinical internships, including training in clinical nutrition at the Neurorehabilitation Institute of Santa Lucia Foundation and an internship in oncological clinical nutrition at Regina Elena National Cancer Institute, both located in Rome. There, she also worked as a clinical research pharmacist in oncology, with a focus on biological therapies and immunotherapy.
She provides personalized nutritional therapy for all types of oncological conditions and has extensive experience in nutritional rehabilitation for adolescents and adults affected by anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, and binge eating disorder.
Her clinical expertise encompasses the assessment of patients’ nutritional status, the development of individualized nutritional plans for complex medical conditions, multidisciplinary team collaboration, and integrative medicine approaches to manage hematological complications associated with chemotherapy and radiotherapy.
