        Dr. Cecilia Nisticò is a highly experienced oncologist with over thirty years of clinical, managerial, and research activity in the field of medical oncology, with a particular focus on breast cancer.

        She earned her degree in Medicine and Surgery from La Sapienza University of Rome and specialized in Oncology at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Rome. She further enhanced her training with a study period at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York.

        From 1993 to 2021, she worked at the Regina Elena National Cancer Institute in Rome, where she held positions of increasing responsibility, including Head of the Organizational Simple Structure for Breast Cancer and the Day Hospital of Medical Oncology C. She was also appointed to a high-specialization role focused on chemotherapy and hormone therapy for breast cancer, with particular attention to ovarian function preservation.

        Since 2021, Dr. Nisticò has served as Director of the Complex Oncology Unit at the Frosinone Local Health Authority (ASL), where she also holds the positions of Head of the Breast Unit and Coordinator of the Diagnostic-Therapeutic Care Pathways (PDTA) for breast cancer and melanoma.

        Dr. Nisticò has actively participated in numerous national and international research projects, both as principal investigator and sub-investigator, significantly contributing to the advancement of translational and clinical research in oncology. She is the author of over 140 scientific publications and has taken part in more than 390 conferences as a speaker or moderator.

        Alongside her clinical and research work, she has also had an extensive teaching career, lecturing in Physiology, Anatomy, and Medical Oncology at various institutions, including the University of Rome Tor Vergata and Sapienza University of Rome. For the 2024–2025 academic year, she is a lecturer in Physiology and Pathology for the Nursing Degree Program at the University of Rome Tor Vergata, Sora and Ceccano campuses.
