Dr. Matteo Ornelli

Dr. Matteo Ornelli is a specialist in Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery.

Since 2018, he has been medical director at the Complex Operative Unit of Reconstructive Surgery of the Limbs of the San Camillo-Forlanini Hospital in Rome - Regional Centre for Complex and Amputative Limb Trauma.

After graduating in Medicine and Surgery at the Campus Biomedico University in Rome, he specialised in Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia.

He obtained a Diploma in Advanced Training from the Italian Society of Hand Surgery (SICM), where he completed a fellowship in Hand Surgery and Reconstructive Microsurgery.

Dr. Ornelli is a lecturer and tutor for several advanced courses in Microsurgery, Hand Surgery and Peripheral Nerve Surgery, as well as author and co-author of articles published in national and international scientific journals.

He is an Ordinary Member of SICM and of the Italian Society of Microsurgery (SIM), of which he has been Regional Delegate for Lazio, Abruzzo and Campania since 2018, Member of the SICM Training and Continuing Education Commission since 2023.
