Professor Pisani is a neurology specialist. He has a doctorate in neuroscience from the University of Perugia. He carries out clinical activities at the IRCCS Mondino (Pavia) neurological Institute. He is a Professor I University B and of Pavia for the Scientific-Disciplinary Sector Med 26/Neurology. In 2011, he received the prestigious Stanley Fahn Award of the Dystonia Medical Research Foundation (USA), for the studies conducted on dystonia. Responsible for both neuroscience workshops at the Systems Department of Systems of the University of Rome Tor Vergata, and of the Neurophysiology and Plasticity Lab laboratory at the Santa Lucia Foundation, IRCCS in Rome, he worked on experimental models on Pathopathological mechanisms of the degenerative pathologies of the base ganglia, such as Parkinson's disease, Huntington's disease, and dystonia. He has completed several national and international research projects and is the author of numerous scientific works.
