Dr. Stefano Presacco

Dr. Presacco is an experienced general surgeon with a solid academic background. He graduated with honours in Medicine and Surgery from the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Rome and completed his specialisation at the same university.

His career has spanned international and local institutions, including a stint as a Postdoc Clinical Research Fellow at the University of Houston in the United States. Currently, he works as a general surgeon at Aurelia Hospital in Rome.

With more than 550 surgical procedures performed, his expertise spans a broad spectrum of surgical procedures, from laparoscopic to major surgeries, such as appendectomies, cholecystectomies, bowel resections, and abdominal and thoracic surgery procedures.

Dr. Presacco also has a strong background in clinical research, coordinating several studies on early diagnosis of infections/sepsis in patients with chronic inflammatory bowel disease.
