specialist-professional-biography-headingDr. Rita Lucia Putini is a specialist in Cardiology with over thirty years of experience in managing high cardiovascular risk patients and providing emergency and urgent cardiac care. Her clinical practice includes work in cardiac intensive care units, coronary care units, and cardiology emergency departments. She is also actively involved in secondary cardiovascular prevention and Doppler echocardiography, including neonatal and pediatric applications.
She earned her degree in Medicine and Surgery and specialized in Cardiology at the University of Rome "La Sapienza." She later completed two Level II University Master's programs: one in Cardiac Intensive Care at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Rome, and another in Cardiac Intensive Care and Advanced Treatment of Heart Failure and Cardiogenic Shock at the University of Siena.
From 2018 to 2025, Dr. Putini served as Head of the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit at the San Camillo-Forlanini Hospital in Rome. She has developed specific expertise in the clinical management and instrumental diagnosis of patients with acute coronary syndromes, advanced heart failure, major arrhythmic syndromes, valvular heart diseases, and complications arising from valvular dysfunctions. Her competencies also extend to post-discharge clinical management of cardiogenic shock and prosthetic valve dysfunctions.
Dr. Putini is the author of numerous publications in national and international scientific journals. She mentors cardiology residents at the University of Rome’s postgraduate schools, speaks at national and international conferences, and teaches in training programs organized by the Hospital Medical School and the Lazio Region’s healthcare education initiatives.
She is a member of the National Association of Hospital Cardiologists (ANMCO).
