Dr. Giusy Ranucci is specialized in Pediatrics and PhD holder, she is Head of Pediatric Diseases at IRCCS ISMETT–UPMC in Palermo. She earned her degree in Medicine and Surgery and her residency in Pediatrics at the University of Naples Federico II.
She deals with congenital and acquired pediatric liver diseases, acute liver failure, liver transplantation, and the follow-up of pediatric transplant patients. She has gained extensive experience in national and international referral centers for metabolic disorders and pediatric liver transplantation.
She holds a PhD in Medical and Translational Sciences with a specific focus on childhood liver diseases and is the author of numerous publications in international scientific journals, as well as a participant in European and national research projects.
She is an active member of Italian and international scientific societies, including ESPGHAN, SIGENP, and SIRP.
