Dr. Rossi is a cardiologist. She is a Master in Medical Anthropology and former manager of the Department of Cardiovascular Medicine of the Gemelli Polyclinic in Rome. Her research focuses on: acute and chronic ischemic heart disease through two -dimensional echocardiography and Doppler, also associated with provocative ischemic tests; the induction mechanisms of mitral valve incontinence in acute and chronic ischemic disease; the quantification of valve defects through color-doppler echocardiography, also using stress echocardiography; cardiac function in acromegalic disease; cardiotoxicity from chemotherapy through doppler echocardiography and on the therapeutic management in cardio-oncology; of cardiac ischemic disease in patients suffering from peripheral arterial; the pre-operative risk assessment of heart patients with particular attention to patients candidates for vascular surgery and on the prevention of rheumatic heart disease in developing countries. She collaborates with health cooperation and specialist medical cooperation projects in developing countries in addition to the team of the women's health specialists at UPMC Salvator Mundi International Hospital.
