Dr. Carlo Torcia

Dr. Carlo Torcia is a medical doctor specialized in urology with extensive experience in the treatment of urological oncology diseases and urinary stone disease, including the most advanced minimally invasive techniques.

After graduating in Medicine and Surgery at La Sapienza University in Rome, he specialized in Urology at the same university. He gained significant hospital experience holding positions of responsibility in various clinical facilities.

He is currently staff physician at the Urology Unit of Gemelli Isola Tiberina Hospital in Rome, where he focuses on urological oncology, laparoscopic and reconstructive surgery of the urinary system, and advanced use of laser technologies for the treatment of urinary stones.

Throughout his career, he was director of the Urological Laparoscopy Unit and of the Urology Unit for fifteen months.

He participated in a cooperation mission in Africa, carrying out medical and surgical tasks at Catholic hospitals in Tanzania and Madagascar.

A speaker in numerous national and international conferences, he authored and co-authored several scientific publications in the field of urology. He was also professor in Urology at the Nursing School of IDI in Rome.
