After graduating in Medicine and Surgery with honours from La Sapienza University in Rome, Dr Federico Tundo completed his specialisation in Orthopaedics and Traumatology at the same university. He further honed his training abroad, including an observership at the Neurosurgery Spine Center of the Department of Neurosurgery at New York Presbyterian Hospital.

Currently, he serves as a senior orthopaedic surgeon in the outpatient and operating room of the Department of Paediatric Spine Surgery at the Bambino Gesù Children's Hospital in Rome and is on duty at the Policlinico Di Liegro in Rome and the Policlinico San Donato in Milan.

Dr. Tundo's main areas of intervention include the diagnosis and clinical and surgical treatment, including minimally invasive, CT-guided and robotic, of spinal diseases in both adults and children. His expertise ranges from scoliosis to problems in young athletes, from traumatology to deformities of the dorso-lumbosacral spine, and degenerative diseases. He also deals with major orthopaedic surgery and spinal neurosurgery, covering the high cervical spine (occiput) up to the sacrum.
