        Professor Federico Venuta is a surgeon specialising in thoracic surgery, with extensive experience in the surgical treatment of lung neoplasms and organ transplants.

        After graduating, he specialised in Thoracic Surgery at the University La Sapienza of Rome and subsequently obtained a Master's Degree in Robotics in Thoracic Surgery at the University of Pisa.

        Currently, he is Director of the U.O.C. of Thoracic Surgery and Lung Transplantation and of the D.A.I. Cardio-Thoracic-Vascular and Organ Transplantation Surgery at the Policlinico Umberto I in Rome. For the hospital, he also coordinates the diagnostic and therapeutic care pathway for pulmonary neoplasms.

        He is Professor of Thoracic Surgery at the Faculty of Pharmacy and Medicine at La Sapienza University in Rome.

        Professor Venuta is an expert in minimally invasive procedures and operative endoscopy for numerous types of surgery, including lung resections in open surgery and thoracoscopy, tracheo-bronchial and pulmonary artery reconstructions, surgery of the mediastinum, pleura, trachea and oesophagus, as well as surgical and endoscopic lung volume reduction.

        He is author or co-author of 640 national and international scientific publications, with an overall H index of 50 on Scopus and 64 on Scholar.
