Coronavirus: Clinical Activity and Safety Measures

DIAGNOSTIC TESTS AND SPECIALIST VISITS

Diagnostic tests and instrumental visits continue for all specialties. If you have symptoms of respiratory diseases such as coughing, rhinorrhea, sneezing, etc. and/or flu-like, please contact the clinic the day before booking.

SHELTERS

If you have flu symptoms you are invited to contact your doctor for the evaluation of your case and the possible postponement of hospitalization and / or surgery.

VISITS TO HOSPITALIZED PATIENTS

We recommend that you limit visits to relatives and friends within the structure. In the room is allowed the presence of only one guest at a time, preferably always the same. This recommendation, as well as for your health, is very important to protect hospitalized patients.

DETECTION OF BODY TEMPERATURE AT THE ENTRANCE

At the entrance of the clinic, a pre-triage station has been activated, manned by our health staff to control all access to the clinic and to detect body temperature.

SANITIZATION OF ENVIRONMENTS

We doubled every day, the cleaning service in the clinic. Greater commitment to everyone's safety.

HAND HYGIENE

Throughout the structure there are several points for hand sanitization. Always use them! Follow the rules above each dispenser for a thorough and effective wash.

WHEN SHOULD THE MASK BE WORN?

  • If you have symptoms of respiratory diseases, such as coughing and difficulty breathing
  • If you are caring for people with symptoms of respiratory illness
  • If you are a healthcare professional and care for people with symptoms of breathing disease
  • It is not necessary for the general population in the absence of symptoms of respiratory diseases

These indications will allow all healthcare facilities, including UPMC Salvator Mundi, to better manage their stocks of masks and make them always available to those who need them.
