Orthopedics: Agreement Signed with the University Hospital of Modena
Focus on Orthopedics.
UPMC Salvator Mundi International Hospital recently signed an agreement with the University Hospital of Modena (AOU MO) and the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia (UNIMORE).
The agreement specifically concerns relations with the UNIMORE School of Orthopedics and Traumatology, led by Prof. Giuseppe Porcellini, and the Orthopedics Unit of AOU MO, directed by Prof. Fabio Catani, which undertakes, by authorizing its medical managers, to provide orthopaedic services for patients belonging to UPMC Salvator Mundi International Hospital.
The medical staff with exclusive relationship, identified by the AOU MO among the specialists of the discipline covered by the agreement belonging to the O.U. of Orthopedics, will perform the required services in compliance with the principles of fungibility and rotation.
The University Hospital of Modena was founded in 2019 by the integration of the Civil Hospital of Baggiovara with the historic Policlinico di Modena. The AOU MO is a highly specialized center in various sectors, uses cutting-edge technologies and carries out its care and research functions in integration with UNIMORE (University of Modena and Reggio Emilia), acting as a guarantee of clinical, educational and scientific tradition, dedicated to medical training and biomedical and health research.
Clinical and surgical activity. By virtue of this agreement, the specialists of the University Hospital of Modena will carry out outpatient activities, pre and post operative orthopedic specialist visits, surgical activities and robotic surgery activities in the clinic. These are specialists with a long experience in the field of congenital and acquired osteo-articular pathologies, sports medicine and reconstructive, prosthetic, arthroscopic and robotic surgery.
The agreement with new high-level orthopedists adds to the already consolidated experience of UPMC Salvator Mundi International Hospital professionals.
Research activities. Orthopaedic research is also included in the services covered by the agreement: the skills of professionals in Modena's education and healthcare are integrated with continuous research and innovation, which has always been a priority of UPMC's international network, of which Salvator Mundi International Hospital is a member.
