UPMC Italy for SAMOTHRACE

Launched by the Region of Sicily with four Sicilian universities, thanks to PNRR funds allocated in the scope of the Next Generation EU project, SAMOTHRACE (SiciliAn Micro and NanO TecHnology Research and InnovAtion Center) is the ecosystem of innovation focusing on micro- and nano-electronics to develop projects in six strategic areas: Energy, Environment, Smart Agriculture, Smart Mobility, Health and Cultural Heritage. A total of Euro 120 million will be used in the next three years with the aim of creating a virtuous mechanism for the transfer and valorization of know-how for the benefit of the industrial sector and of the community. The ecosystem will operate through nine spokes, of which five of research that offer all thematic areas of the ecosystem. UPMC will lead the “Health” spoke.
