Cardiovascular Diseases

Cardiovascular diseases are the leading cause of mortality in Italy, contributing to about 35% of all deaths. These conditions, which involve the heart and blood vessels, include a number of widespread conditions, including:

  • Acute myocardial infarction.
  • Angina pectoris.
  • Aortic aneurysm.
  • Atherosclerosis.
  • Coronary artery disease.
  • Heart failure.
  • Ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke.
  • Ischemic heart disease.

In addition to being a significant cause of mortality, these diseases are also the main source of disability. However, there is good news: most of them can be prevented.

Besides risk factors such as age, gender, and familiarity, many of these diseases are closely linked to your lifestyle. Along with lifestyle changes, regular medical exams and cardiology screening programs assume a major role. Investing in heart health through preventive measures can contribute significantly to reducing the incidence of cardiovascular disease and improving overall quality of life.

Don't wait until you're sick, take care of your health always. We are waiting for you for our Heart Week.
