Male Prevention: Discover the Offer Dedicated to You

The month of November is dedicated to male and urological prevention and, in particular, to the prevention of prostate cancer, which affects about 600 thousand men in Europe every year. To encourage the start of prevention paths, UPMC Salvator Mundi International Hospital reserves a special package for the entire month of November:

SPECIALIST VISIT + PSA

CLICK HERE to BOOK NOW the package and learn about our urology service.

During the visit, the specialist will be able, among other things, to analyze the possible risk factors associated with the main diseases that can affect humans. In addition to the visit, the package includes the PSA, or blood test for the PSA dosage, which is an index of prostate health and marker of prostate cancer.

A first urological evaluation is advisable from the age of 40: age, together with familiarity, is among the different risk factors of prostate cancer, and those over 65 are more at risk. Prostate cancer occurs when cells in the gland grow uncontrollably, leading to the formation of a malignant tumor, and is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in men.

For this reason, urological prevention is fundamental, also considering the high frequency of some diseases such as prostate cancer and prostatic hypertrophy. These diseases are often asymptomatic up to advanced stages.
