UPMC Hillman Cancer Center San Pietro FBF Joint Ownership Agreement

UPMC Hillman Cancer Center San Pietro FBF (“Center”) is an advanced radiotherapy center offering oncology patients innovative treatments and advanced care protocols, including stereotactic radiosurgery and image guided radiation therapy (IGRT/IMRT). Operational decisions regarding the processing of personal data for patients treated at the Center are jointly made by UPMC Italy S.r.l. and Provincia Religiosa dell’Ordine Ospedaliero di S. Giovanni di Dio – Fatebenefratelli (hereinafter “UPMC” and “San Pietro,” respectively). This involves the presence of two joint controllers under Article 26 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679. As required by the above-mentioned Regulation, UPMC and San Pietro have entered into an agreement to define their respective duties and responsibilities. In particular, UPMC has been assigned the role of implementing the tools, processes, policies, and organizational and technical measures necessary to ensure compliance with personal data protection regulations. San Pietro is responsible for the billing management process for the services provided.

The parties have designated the Center’s Data Protection Officer (DPO) as the point of contact for individuals wishing to exercise their rights under the Regulation. The DPO can be reached by email at DPO@upmcsanpietro.it or at the Center.
